As the heat rises, so does the excitement in Alamogordo! This summer at Casa Honda, we’re thrilled to invite you to two of the most eagerly awaited events in New Mexico. Here’s what you can look forward to as we say goodbye to the summer and hello to the autumn of 2023.
4th Friday: An Evening of Music and Community
Kick off the end of August with the popular 4th Friday event at Griggs Sports Complex. On August 25th, from 6 PM to 10 PM, join your community for a night filled with fantastic music and neighborly camaraderie. Natajja, a recording Country/Spanish singer from Las Cruces, New Mexico, will be gracing the event with her vibrant tunes.
Pack a lawn chair or a blanket, and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere under the New Mexican stars. Remember, while we’re all about having fun, safety and respect are also paramount. As such, pets, outside food and beverages, smoking, vaping, weapons, and bicycles or skateboards are not allowed at the venue.
Entry costs a mere $1 for adults, while those 17 and under get in free, making 4th Friday a perfect family-friendly outing. After you’ve enjoyed the melodies of Natajja, why not take a night drive in your Honda Accord to top off the evening?
The New Mexico State Fair: A Grand Celebration of Culture and Heritage
Our journey doesn’t stop at Alamogordo! We recommend you head over to Albuquerque from September 7th to the 17th for the New Mexico State Fair at Expo New Mexico. A significant part of New Mexico’s history since 1938, this fair is a joyful celebration of our local food, competition, culture, creativity, and rich agricultural heritage.
The New Mexico State Fair offers a multitude of activities, including concerts, a rodeo, horse racing, plus fun rides and delectable food. It’s no wonder the fair consistently ranks among the top 5 in the nation and draws over 500,000 attendees annually!
After an adventurous day at the fair, imagine the comfort of driving back home in your Honda, reflecting on the rich experiences and unforgettable memories you’ve gathered.
